Recently, Alex, and the pastor of Elim Pentecostal Church in Mwandi, Pastor Sikute, both October Live School training graduates, went to Lutaba village, 60 km from Mwandi. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, these very humble and quiet men proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ to the local people. They allowed themselves to be available to God and were on fire! They were willing to get out of the boat, take the risk of walking on water with Jesus and guess what happened? Seventeen people gave their lives to Jesus on October 30! Alex and Pastor Sikute didn’t waste any time, did they? The excited people of Lutaba asked them to return to plant a church in their community, and they are in the process of doing that right now.
In addition, another young October graduate, Bosco, planted and is pasturing a new church. Bosco, along with his former pastor, Pastor Blaston are currently leading a crusade in the Sesheke community (where we trained church leaders for three weeks this past summer). He is continually making himself available to God by traveling to many remote communities on his bike spreading the good news of Jesus Christ!
Isn’t this great news? Isn’t this what we are called to do wherever God has placed us? Aren’t we called to make ourselves available to God in spite of our weakness, our lack of preparation and our fears? God wants us just as we are so He can be glorified through our weakness.
Please continue to keep our students and graduates in your prayers. We are confident that God is going to show us what great things He can do through the IMC, so stay tuned!
